Reviews of Hoopes   fantastic cabin, mediocre management experience Reviewed by winterskiing on 2/5/2012 Cabin was much more beautiful than it looked in pictures. In addition, the cabin had a grill and in-home theater that were excellent. House was in pristine condition with brand new appliances etc etc. No complaints, and an excellent value.The management company, however, left something to be desired. We were initially unable to get into the cabin. After an hour of calling the "emergency number" and first having to leave a message before getting them on the actual phone, we found out that the code they gave us was wrong. They then spent 20 minutes trying to get ahold of the owners, who finally told us the new code. Further, upon entering the house we found that the water wasn't turned on. When we asked, the company said that "unfortunately nobody had been able to make it out to the house that day to check on things". We eventually figured all of these little things out, and it didn't affect our stay much. The management people we talked to were helpful and kind, but in the end we were left wondering exactly what it is they were doing to help manage the property other than putting a listing up on the website | | | | | | | |
